When Minuteman Press in King’s Lynn were looking to relocate they enlisted the help of the APS Projects team to transform an empty shell into a dynamic production and office space. This fit out included a mezzanine floor, partitioning walls, suspended ceilings, electrics, lighting, kitchen units, WC plumbing, decoration and building regulations.
The lease on our previous premises was about to expire so we felt like it was the perfect time to buy our own building and future proof the business. The aim was to double our sales over a three year period and the fit out of our new unit would enable us to run a modern, professional printing company. We tendered this project to several companies and felt APS were the best all round supplier with the skills required to deliver the project. They agreed to manage the additional trades to help us bring the project in on time and to a high standard. Their proposal was competitive and more importantly they gave us the assurance that they would deliver the project within the 10 week lead time available.
APS allowed us to take a modular approach to the fit out of the building by dividing the work into three stages. This was designed in a way that would help us to relocate initially and then further improve the building once we had moved in. Since completing our move the additional space has improved efficiency, showcased our business to customers and helped us to overachieve on our sales growth. We moved from a 1970’s council building into a modern, purpose built, air-conditioned environment that in turn improved the quality of our products, the conditions for our employees and provided a space for our business to thrive.
